I’ve deepened my financial and global understanding through the Morgan Stanley Finance Academy, Stanford’s China Scholars Program, and the National Security Language Initiative for Youth. In terms of leadership, I serve as President of the NBMBAA’s Atlanta Chapter. I look forward to majoring in economics in college!

As a cancer survivor, I make the most of my time since life can change quickly. I’m Ronald McDonald House Club President, VP of Future Business Leaders of America, school ambassador, and on the men’s wrestling team. Outside of school, I’m a childhood cancer advocate, volunteer caregiver for Alzheimer’s patients, and camp counselor and literacy tutor for individuals with Down syndrome. I hope to double-major in public policy and engineering to pass legislation that facilitates new cures for kids with cancer and develop assistive devices for disabled individuals.

I’m passionate about music performance, and I’m an active member of my school’s orchestra and have also been a part of the National Youth Orchestra 2 (NYO2), Texas all-state ensembles, the Houston Youth Symphony, and the Houston Youth Harp Ensemble. My dream is to bring beauty to the world with my unique artistic point-of-view, creativity and innovation. At school I am able to express my artistic talent through active participation in Honors Art and Design Class, the Theater Program with outstanding roles in school plays and musicals, and singing soprano in our Concert and Mad Jazz Honors Choirs. Outside of school I strive to improve my artistic skills with portfolio development in Visual Arts, Painting and Drawing courses. I also enjoy the musical outlet of playing violin, and practicing piano. I love to ride the train to NYC to see Broadway shows, visit museums, attend live music concerts or inspiring art gallery events to broaden my horizons. My academic interests also include the STEM fields of engineering and science; looking forward, my goal would be to merge Art, Design and Engineering/Science into an exciting and rewarding career. In the athletic arena, I am an experienced Fencer, my weapon is Epee, and I practice and compete with my local fencing club. Free time is usually spent reading, traveling, watching and analyzing movies, cooking or playing with my dogs. My personal philosophy is be true to yourself, be curious and be kind.

I've always been passionate about creating change and helping those in need which is why I'm interested in both biology and political science where I could truly make a difference.
